MyCookMate ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the MyCookMate mobile application.
Information We Collect

- Account Information: When you create an account using Apple Sign In, we collect your name and email address as provided by Apple.
- Recipe & Meal Plan Data: Recipes you import, create, or modify within the app, including URLs, ingredients, instructions, and meal plan entries stored on our servers.
- Media Content: Videos and images you upload within the app, stored securely in cloud storage.
- Subscription & Purchase Data: Information about your subscription status and in-app purchases, processed through RevenueCat. This includes purchase history and subscription entitlements linked to your account.
- Device & Usage Information: Device identifiers and information about how you interact with the app (such as subscription funnel activity), used to provide and improve the service.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your MyCookMate account
- To sync your recipes and meal plans across devices
- To process recipe imports from external URLs
- To manage your subscription and premium access
- To send important service announcements (not marketing spam)
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may collect data as described in this policy:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): Cloud infrastructure for data storage and processing.
- RevenueCat: Subscription and purchase management. RevenueCat may collect device identifiers, purchase history, and product interaction data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Apple Sign In: Authentication service provided by Apple Inc.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties, and none of your data is used for advertising or shared with data brokers.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@mycookmate.io.
Security
We take data security seriously. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, though no system can be 100% guaranteed to be secure.
Children's Privacy
MyCookMate is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
