Download MyCookMate and sign in with your Apple ID — there's no separate password to create. You'll add your name, start your 14-day free trial, and you're ready to import your first recipe. Your library syncs automatically to the cloud across reinstalls.
Tap the + button on the Recipe tab, then paste any URL from a recipe website, TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook. MyCookMate uses AI to automatically extract the recipe title, ingredients, steps, and image. The import usually takes just a few seconds.
Go to the List tab and tap "Add Recipes." Select the recipes you want to cook and tap done. MyCookMate will consolidate all ingredients into a single list, combining duplicates automatically.
Open the Meal Plan tab to see a weekly calendar. Tap any day to assign recipes to breakfast, lunch, or dinner slots. You can also generate a grocery list directly from your meal plan.
Tap "Start Cooking" on any recipe to enter a hands-free, full-screen cooking view. Swipe through each step at your own pace, tap the built-in timers we detect in the instructions (like "Start 5:00"), and your screen stays awake the whole time so you never lose your place.
Yes. On any recipe you can scale the servings (½x, 1x, 2x, 3x) and switch between the original, metric, or imperial measurements. Ingredient amounts update automatically.
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → MyCookMate to manage or cancel your subscription at any time.
Yes! MyCookMate includes a 14-day free trial so you can explore all features before your subscription begins. Cancel anytime during the trial and you won't be charged.
Your recipes are always yours. If your subscription lapses, you can still view your saved recipes. You'll need an active subscription to import new recipes or access premium features.
Yes. With an active subscription you can invite one family member to share your plan at no extra cost. Open the More tab → Sharing, generate an invite, and send them the code or link. Once they accept and sign in, they get full premium access — no separate subscription needed.
An invited member works inside your shared library — the same recipes, lists, and meal plans — with all premium features unlocked while linked. You can remove a member anytime from the Sharing screen; they'll return to a free account and can start their own subscription if they'd like.
Some websites use formats that are harder to parse. Try copying the recipe URL directly from your browser's address bar and pasting it again. If the issue persists, contact us at support@mycookmate.io and we'll look into it.
